Our client is an 18 year old man from Greenacre. He is completing an apprenticeship in formwork and is planning on attending university in the near future to obtain his builders licence.

He was charged by police in the context of a road rage incident for common assault and attempt to stalk/intimidate intend to cause fear or physical or mental harm to the victim.

Our client was driving his vehicle when he got into an altercation with another driver on the road. At this point, he leaped through the window of the victim’s car and grabbed the victim by the shirt followed by threats.

When he contacted CDLA, he spoke to our specialist criminal lawyer Ahmad Faraj. Ahmad with his experience and tactical approach, managed to convince the police prosecutor at the Bankstown Local Court to withdraw one charge upon a plea of guilty to the other.

In the result, with persuasive submissions and advocacy before the Bankstown Local Court Magistrate, Ahmad managed to persuade the Court to not record a criminal record against our client. As a result, the Magistrate imposed a non-conviction penalty under a conditional release order.

Our client was very pleased to be able to move on without having a criminal record.
