Our client is a 28 year old male from Wentworthville who works as a delivery driver. He is in Australia on a relationship visa.

He was charged by police with two counts of domestic violence Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm involving his partner. After contacting CDLA, immediate steps were taken to put the best case forward.
The matter was handled by our criminal defence lawyer Alex Istifan who immediately began collating fundamental evidence and witnesses in order to prove our clients innocence and free him from the false accusations made by his prior partner.
Our client and Mr. Istifan worked on the case closely till the hearing day at the Parramatta Local Court; On the day of the hearing the local court Magistrate asked for an identification and summary of the defence case.
Our Alex articulated clearly what the defence case was in opening. Her Honour immediately asked the prosecutor to have a discussion with the defence team the defence witnesses before the hearing commences in order to save the courts time. This allowed us to further negotiate with the prosector handling the prosecution case.
Lengthy discussions between the defence and proaction took place in attempts to get charges dropped, avoid witnesses having to go through the trauma of giving evidence and save court time.
Successfully, our Alex managed to convinced the prosecutor to drop all charged in court. This was largely due to the way Alex prepared the defence case with careful gathering of evidence to strengthen the defence case, leaving no stop un-turned.
The charges were formally dismissed by the Magistrate in court, and our client avoided the prospects of a criminal record and jail completely.
