Our 32 year-old client from Stanmore (Inner West Sydney) was charged with low range drink driving with a PCA of 0.057.

She worked as a cleaner and travelled to and from work by car 5-days a week with 3am starts. She would also travel in her car with cleaning products and equipment, creating a significant need for a licence to maintain an income.

she was on a visa and understandably concerned as to the impact of a criminal conviction.

This was her first drink driving offence and her first time before a court.

If she was to get a conviction it would impact her ability to find suitable employment within her field in the future (student studying graduate diploma) and it would diminish her chances of getting permanent residency.

At the time of the offence she was holding an international licence.

Our specialist traffic lawyer Zynal Khan carefully guided and prepared her case with every effort to achieve a non-conviction section 10 so that she would be able to maintain her licence to drive and remain conviction-free.

Our client was given advice and guided at every step of her case.

She was referred by our team to complete the Traffic Offenders Program where she learnt the consequence in making poor choices in driving and the impacts that can transpire on roads in NSW.

She was assisted in preparing an apology letter, good character letters and various other important supporting material for her sentence in court.

In the result, our lawyer Zynal made compelling submissions on behalf of our client to the Magistrate.

The Magistrate was persuaded to give our client a non-conviction Conditional Release Order for a 24month period.

Our client was able to put all this behind her and move on without a criminal conviction.
