Our 40 year old client from Campbelltown was served with an Apprehended Domestic Violence Order (DVO).

The AVO conditions extended to protecting his ex-partner and their child.

The AVO application was based on very serious allegations of sexual assault over a lengthy period.
Police advised that they would continue investigations into the alleged sexual assaults in the mean time.
In the wake of these investigations, our Managing Lawyer Tayla Regan commenced extensive negotiations with the police detectives in charge of the matter.
The results of our negotiations with the police were remarkable.
Tayla Regan and the CDLA team successfully negotiated the matter in a way which resulted in the police ceasing any further investigations of the sexual allegations, bringing the matter to an end.
This was in response to the AVO being made final by consent on a without admissions basis at the Campbelltown Local Court without criminal charges being laid, which would have involved a long and stressful criminal process.
Our client was able to move on with his life without the burden and stresses of being investigated further, and the AVO case being concluded.
