Going to Sutherland Court?

Sutherland court house comprises of Sutherland Local Court and Sutherland District Court. The court house has multiple court rooms inside it, with a Presiding Magistrate or Judge who hear the day’s cases.

Sutherland court opens at 9am, but the individual court rooms inside the court house each open and begin to hear cases from 9:30am weekdays.

Sutherland court doesn’t sit on weekends. But those arrested and put into custody on a Friday night or weekend will have their weekend bail application heard at Parramatta weekend bail court.

Sutherland court is only a short stroll away from the Sutherland train station. There’s ample parking around and near the court house if you arrive by car.

You can get to Sutherland court house in any of the following ways:

  • Drive. With plenty of parking, it’s convenient to drive there. It’s about 30km from Sydney CBD.
  • Bus services. Bus services are available close to the court house. The main stop stops are located next to the train station.
  • Train. Sutherland train station is only a short walk away from the court house. The trains there run regularly.
